Terje Nordgarden

Last weekend the venue 'Paco Plumtrek' in Almelo had, again, this great Norwegian performer on stage; Terje Nordgarden. I've seen him at a concert 3 times before and every time he is getting better and better!

Terje is a master in using a loop device to create his own musical background by clapping his hands, using his guitar and vocal harmonies, which makes his music full, intense with a psychedelic sound.

He is promoting his fourth album "You gotta get ready" and is touring through Europe. You can find his website here.

Liedjesmakersfestival

Last weekend I was at the Liedjesmakersfestival in Almelo, organized by Paco Plumtrek. The weather couldn't be better considering it was the 2nd of October ! The whole day there where singersongwriters playing music at different spots at Theater Hof 88. I was one of the volunteers that day but I took my camera with me ofcourse and made some pictures. This is Andre Manuel, a great singersongwriter. The electric guitar made a constant noise so he unplugged it and played the electric guitar acoustic. You could only hear it because the audience was absolutely silent. It was beautifull. He sang without microphone... It was perfect.

After the song, Henk Lammers of Paco Plumtrek, lend him his acoustic guitar and he played another acoustic song.

It was a great day! Hope they organize it again next year. More pictures of the festival will be uploaded in the next week I hope.

Fingers on Fire

Toch nog even een blog over het optreden van Fingers on Fire vorig weekend. Bij Paco Plumtrek in Almelo trad de vijfkoppige band zaterdags op. Jonge jongens uit Almelo die al best succesvol aan de weg timmeren met hun muziek !

Dit was de eerste keer dat ze akoestisch speelden en het klonk erg goed. Zelf hadden ze er ook veel lol in en dat is te zien op de foto's.

Paco Plumtreks begin van het nieuwe seizoen

Zaterdagavond genoten van een heel mooi optreden van Bart Oostindie! Een singer songwriter uit Maastricht. Relaxte vent die, ondanks zijn verkoudheid, prachtige liedjes ten gehore bracht in het nieuwe onderkomen van Paco Plumtrek aan de Achtzaligheden.

Het seizoen van dit kleinschalige podium waar met name akoestische optredens worden gehouden, is weer begonnen. Meer sfeerfoto's van het optreden van Bart Oostindie kun je hier op m'n flickr-account vinden.
